wpe2.jpg (36358 bytes)Clopyralid (pronounced Clo-PEER-a-lid), by Dow Chemical, and related compounds like "Confront" have become dangerously popular for use on turf and crops for control of weeds.  Weeds are an indication that the soil doesn't strongly favor your desired crop.  The solution is to fix the soil, not engage in Chemical Warfare.

While Composting is the favored way of recycling yard waste, these chemicals are making yard waste an unacceptable feedstock because it can poison our finished product, and we've got to protect our finished product quality.

Its time for the public to realize that chemical fertilizers and pesticides are endangering our future.  It is time for each and every one of us to SAY "NO" to chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Say "NO" to Chemical Warfare that will kill our soil.   Restoring life / health to the soil is a much more sane approach.

While the Chemical Industry's intentions may be good, there is a great deal of evidence that many of their products are destroying our environment, destroying the nutritional value in our crops, and endangering our future.  There is more than enough evidence that many of their products contribute to cancer and other serious diseases.

Our Mission is to create a sustainable environment, by recycling organic residuals, turning them into premium soils and soil conditioners.  Organic residuals containing chemicals like Dow's Clopyralid are too hazardous for us to even consider accepting.

Residues as low as 3 ppb (parts per billion) in compost can make the compost unsuitable for most applications.   Therefore, we are NOT willing to accept any yard waste that has any chance of containing Clopyralid, which includes Dow's "Confront" and many others.   Even some fertilizers now contain unacceptable traces of these poisons.

Studies have shown that "food" grown with chemical fertilizers and pesticides are seriously deficient in about 5,000 enzymes which our immune systems, bodies need to sustain vibrant health.    Those chemicals have too often killed vital micro-organisms in the soil, micro-organisms that cycle nutrients and provide natural disease suppression.

For more information on Clopyralid, and to send a letter to Dow AgroSciences' CEO asking that they take Clopyralid off the market, CLICK HERE.  A sample letter is already there, that you may modify or use as it is.  If we are to create a sustainable environment, each of us has to take action, like this.  We thank you. For over 50 years the Chemical Industry has been engaged in Chemical Warfare, killing American Soil. Even if their intentions are good, the end result is devastating.
