Some people would say that a logical resolution would be to cut the orange and each take half of the orange.
Neither of the sisters were happy because
they each had only half of what they wanted.
When we look at what is important to each of them before we rush in to propose a solution... we find out that one sister wanted to eat an orange.....
and the other sister was baking a cake and her recipe called for Orange PEAL...
The point is... what was important to each of them is not in conflict, they can both have 100% of what they want.
Ah, it is possible to have your cake and eat it too.
